Self & Mind

The Four Bodies Approach

Physical • Mental • Emotional • Spiritual

PaidSelf-paced

Most of us treat health as one thing, meaning the body. The Four Bodies Approach treats you as an ecosystem of four. When one is neglected the others carry it, and the cost shows up somewhere you were not looking. This one-day workshop teaches you to tell which body is asking for attention, and what to do about it.

  • Format: Recorded, so you study in your own time
  • Length: One day, as a single session
  • Fee: PKR 1,000
  • Access: One month from the date you register
  • Certificate: E-certificate on completion

Fee: PKR 1,000 for the complete course. Annual student registration is PKR 500 a year. It opens the recorded lecture library and lets you enroll in any course.

Payment: NayaPay to 0321-0911127 (Ayesha Kashif). Full details are on the enrollment page.

  • Anyone who senses something is off but cannot locate it
  • Students who want a framework they can keep using, not a one-off talk

None. You do not need any prior study of psychology, counselling or Islamic studies.

Syllabus

What you will cover

Module 1

The Physical Body: The Vessel

Your tangible form, the vessel you experience life through. Balance looks like steady energy, restful sleep and resilience. Imbalance shows up as constant tiredness, held tension and frequent illness. The work here is restorative rest, movement that pays attention to sensation rather than performance, proper nourishment, and noticing where in your body you are holding on to things.

Module 2

The Mental Body: The Architect

The realm of thoughts, beliefs and the ego, which shapes how you read everything that happens to you. Balance brings clarity and the ability to solve a problem. Imbalance shows up as brain fog, constant worry, a short fuse and rigid stories you keep telling yourself. You work on mindfulness, on journaling to get thoughts out of your head where you can actually look at them, and on stepping back from the constant stream of information.

Module 3

The Emotional Body: The River

Feelings, memories and reactions. This body bridges the physical and the mental, and acts as a compass for your inner state. Balance means feeling an emotion without drowning in it, and being able to say honestly what you feel. Imbalance shows up as mood swings, numbness, and grudges you cannot put down. The work is naming what you feel, which on its own lowers the intensity, plus breathwork, gratitude, and releasing resentment before it settles in the body.

Module 4

The Spiritual Body: The Source

Your connection to something greater than yourself: purpose, values, the divine. It is what gives meaning to the other three. Balance feels like direction, inner peace, and actions that match what you say you believe. Imbalance feels hollow, cynical, or like life is something happening to you. You work on clarifying your values, time in nature, serving others, and sitting with the larger questions.

Module 5

How the Four Work Together

None of these run in isolation. The workshop traces the chain reaction: ongoing mental stress releases cortisol, which weakens immunity, which stirs up anxiety, which eventually hollows out your sense of meaning. Then the reverse, because some practices feed several bodies at once. The day closes with a scored check-in for each body, so you can see which one has been carrying the load.

The method

How the course works

Tools you will practise

  • The scored check-in: rate each body and see which one is asking
  • Restorative rest, treated as maintenance rather than a reward
  • Mindful movement, focused on sensation instead of performance
  • Journaling, to get thoughts out where you can look at them
  • Naming the emotion, which on its own reduces its intensity
  • Breathwork, to let the stress response settle before you think
  • Gratitude and forgiveness as deliberate shifts of attention
  • Values clarification, then checking your week against them

How the sessions run

  • One recorded workshop session
  • Teaching on the four bodies and how they affect one another
  • Exercises from the sheet, including a scored self-check and a case study to work through
  • A practical toolkit for each body, not theory alone

What you receive

The Four Bodies handout and the exercise sheet. The exercises include a scored check-in for each of the four bodies, a list of everyday activities to sort by which body they feed, and a case study to work through and discuss.
